Peer Review Process

Ki Hajar Dewantara Educational Journal (Jurnal KHD) implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of every article published. This process aims to provide constructive feedback and an objective assessment of the submitted manuscripts.

Here are the steps in the peer review process at Jurnal KHD:

  1. Manuscript Submission: After submission, the journal editor conducts an initial check to ensure that the manuscript complies with submission guidelines and is relevant to the journal's scope. If the manuscript meets these criteria, it will proceed to the peer review process.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: The editor then assigns two to three reviewers who are experts in the related field to evaluate the manuscript. Reviewers assess the quality of the research, clarity of writing, contribution to the field of education, and adequacy of references.
  3. Review Process: Reviewers provide feedback, including suggestions for improvement, comments on methodology, data analysis, and conclusions. They will also recommend whether the manuscript should be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.
  4. Editor’s Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the journal editor makes the final decision on the manuscript. The author is informed of this decision and, if necessary, asked to make revisions based on the reviewers' recommendations.
  5. Revisions and Finalization: If the article requires revisions, the author is expected to submit the revised manuscript. The revisions will be re-evaluated by the reviewers to ensure the improvements have been properly addressed. Once the revisions are accepted, the manuscript will be prepared for publication.
  6. Publication: After the manuscript is accepted and finalized, the article will be published in the appropriate journal edition.

The peer review process at Jurnal KHD is double-blind, meaning the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity and independence in the evaluation.
